I began writing Peace in the Storm in January 2005, after my wife and I had gone through what I would call one of the most difficult years of our lives, but also one of the best. (Funny how that works.) In the midst of the troubles we faced during that time, as I read the Bible, God provided me with what was truly a “peace which exceeds anything we can understand” (Philippians 4:7 NLT). Within this site, you’ll find some of the passages that spoke to me.
While I’ve sporadically posted here in recent years, much of this website is a time capsule of sorts, capturing a certain season of my life, and of my relationship with God. My hope, though, is that the verses and passages within these posts will continue to comfort others — including you — as they had comforted me.
We’re all looking for peace in the storms of life… and there is peace to be found. I hope you’ll find something here to help you on your journey. And if you do, please share it with others — hurting people are all around us, and they’re often well disguised!
